Chrome Extension Terms of Service

Last updated: August 5, 2026

1. Agreement and Company

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ROTUNDA TECH LTD ("we", "our", or "us") governing the CastBrowser Chrome extension ("Extension"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it. The CastBrowser mobile application is governed by separate mobile App Terms of Service.

ROTUNDA TECH LTD
2nd Floor College House, 17 King Edwards Road

2. Extension Purpose

The Extension detects compatible, non-DRM video on HTTPS webpages and lets you preview it, download a supported direct MP4 or WebM file, or send compatible media to a Google Cast receiver. The Extension does not host, supply, sell, or license third-party media.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction, and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you use the Extension for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

4. License

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Extension in accordance with these Terms and the Chrome Web Store's applicable rules. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

5. Lawful and Authorized Use

You agree that you will not:

  • access, preview, download, cast, copy, or distribute media unless you own it or have permission or another lawful right to do so;
  • use the Extension to infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, contract, or other rights;
  • use or attempt to use the Extension to bypass DRM, encryption, paywalls, authentication, geographic restrictions, or other access controls;
  • interfere with websites, networks, receivers, the Extension, or other users;
  • introduce malicious code or use the Extension for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or unauthorized commercial activity; or
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.

You are responsible for checking the source website's terms and the laws that apply to your use. The presence of a detected item or a Download or Cast button does not grant permission to use the media.

6. Third-Party Content and Services

Websites, media, Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, Google Cast, receiving devices, and other third-party services are controlled by their respective providers and may have separate terms and privacy policies. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for third-party content, availability, legality, accuracy, security, or conduct.

7. Compatibility and Feature Limits

Detection and playback depend on the source website, media format, browser, network, and receiver. Direct MP4 and WebM files may be eligible for preview, download, and casting. Compatible HLS/M3U8 streams may be detected for playback or casting but are not offered as direct downloads. YouTube and DRM-protected subscription services are not supported. Websites may change without notice and can stop a feature from working.

Casting requires a compatible Google Cast receiver and network configuration. We do not guarantee that any specific site, video, quality, receiver, or device will work.

8. No Extension Payments or Subscriptions

The current Extension is provided without Extension payments, advertising, or subscriptions. Purchases that may be available in the separate mobile App do not apply to the Extension unless we clearly state otherwise in a future Extension update and provide any legally required purchase terms before payment.

9. Privacy

The Chrome Extension Privacy Policy explains how the Extension processes website, detected-media, storage, download, and casting data and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Intellectual Property and Trademarks

The Extension and its original code, design, branding, and features are owned by ROTUNDA TECH LTD or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Third-party media remains owned by its respective rights holders.

Chromecast, Google Cast, Google TV, Chrome, and the Chrome Web Store are trademarks of Google LLC. CastBrowser is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC. Other trademarks belong to their respective owners.

11. Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, THE AVAILABILITY OR LEGALITY OF THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, OR COMPATIBILITY WITH ANY WEBSITE, MEDIA, DEVICE, RECEIVER, OR NETWORK.

Nothing in these Terms limits statutory consumer rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROTUNDA TECH LTD WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE LOSS, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, CONTENT, BUSINESS, OR USE, ARISING FROM THE EXTENSION OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE EXTENSION WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED POUNDS (£100). Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the Extension, or restrict use that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, threatens security, or harms us, users, or third parties. You may stop using the Extension at any time by disabling or uninstalling it. Provisions intended by their nature to survive termination will remain in effect.

14. Changes

We may update the Extension and these Terms. We will post revised Terms here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when required. Your continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

15. Governing Law and General Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may retain mandatory rights to bring claims in their country of residence. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
